What can you say about this kid that hasn't already been said ?
He is (IMO) headed for a HOF career . He had his ups & downs in the beginning , but , he's gotten under control . there appears to be no ill effects from his unfortunate illness and subsequent recovery . i mean , seriously , in less than two years Lester was diagnosed with & BEAT lymphoma , he pitched for a win in game 4 of the 07 WS to finish the sweep of the Rockies and he got his first complete game shut which resulted in a No-No early this season . this team would be foolish to ever get rid of this guy . i've been impressed with him since he was here in Maine wearing a SeaDogs uniform ( 05 Eastern League Pitcher of the Year ) and he has a career ERA of 3.82 , NOT BAD
